GIVE COLD & FLU SEASON THE MIDDLE FINGER WITH OUR NATURAL IMMUNE SYSTEM BOOSTING TIPS

Winter is a time of year when many people experience a decrease in their overall immunity. This can lead to an increased risk of catching colds and other illnesses, as well as feeling more sluggish and down. It’s important to take steps to boost your immunity during the winter months to help keep you healthy and feeling your best.

One of the most important things you can do to boost your immunity during the winter is to get plenty of rest. Make sure you’re getting at least seven to eight hours of sleep each night. This will help your body to recharge and repair itself, which is essential for a strong immune system. If you suffer from insomnia or other sleep troubles, CBD has been shown to improve your quality of sleep and in natural and gentle ways.

It’s also important to eat a healthy, balanced diet. Eating plenty of fruits and vegetables, as well as lean proteins, will help to provide your body with the nutrients it needs to stay healthy. Avoiding processed and sugary foods will also help to keep your immune system strong. We will touch on this topic again later in this blog with some easy & incredible immunity boosters that are fast, easy, natural, & potent.

Exercise is also important for boosting your immunity. Regular physical activity helps to keep your body strong and can help to reduce stress, which can weaken your immune system. Aim for at least 30 minutes of exercise each day.

Finally, it’s important to take steps to reduce stress. Stress can weaken your immune system, so it’s important to find ways to relax and unwind. Taking time for yourself to do something you enjoy, such as reading a book or taking a walk, can help to reduce stress. Another popular way to help ease stress is CBD. Studies have shown that CBD is great at helping those who suffer from stress, anxiety, depression, and more.

Seriously Powerful Ways to Supercharge Your Immune System

We mentioned earlier in this blog that we would also discuss some amazing ways to give your immune system a boost. Here are some fantastic tips to try that are fast & easy to do that your body will thank you for.

Immune System Booster Shot

Our Immune System Booster Shot doesn't quite fit the full definition of fast & easy but it's customizable so it could be. This recipe makes five shots, and you can add or remove ingredients if you don't like certain things.

Ingredients

  • 5-10 cloves garlic

  • 5 tablespoons honey

  • 1.25 teaspoon turmeric

  • 5 tablespoons hot water

  • 10-15 tablespoons freshly-squeezed lemon juice of 1 medium lemon

  • 20-25 tablespoons freshly-squeezed orange juice from 1 medium navel orange

  • 5 dash cinnamon

  • 5 dash cayenne pepper

  • 5 dash sea salt

  • 5 pinches freshly ground black pepper

  • 5 tablespoons organic, unfiltered apple cider vinegar

  • 5 teaspoons grated fresh ginger

Instructions

Press garlic cloves through a garlic press and into a small bowl (or save yourself some work and get crushed garlic). Grind and mash garlic cloves with a knife, then set aside to rest.

Once the garlic has rested (about 10 minutes), add one tablespoon of honey, one tablespoon of hot water, and ¼ teaspoon of turmeric to a glass or cup. Whisk until the ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Add fresh lemon juice, fresh orange juice, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, sea salt, and black pepper to the glass with honey. Whisk until the ingredients are fully incorporated.

Add apple cider vinegar, ginger, and garlic to the glass. Whisk until the ingredients are fully incorporated. Down the hatch! Consume the mixture immediately for maximum benefits.

Hot Lemon and Honey Water

This classic combination is well-known for its immune-boosting benefits. Lemons are rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, while honey has antibacterial properties. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon into a mug, add hot water, and sweeten with honey.

Golden Milk

Golden milk reigns supreme for a healthy, healing, and anti-inflammatory drink. All you have to do is to simmer a cozy blend of turmeric, milk, maple syrup, cinnamon, and a pinch of black pepper on the stovetop — it's as easy as that!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk (dairy or dairy-free)

  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric

  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • pinch black pepper

  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey

Instructions

Add all ingredients to a saucepan over medium heat and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 10 minutes to let the flavors blend.

Berry Smoothie

Berries are really good for you as they’re full of the vitamins your body needs.

You could combine strawberries with raspberries and blueberries or mix it up with some other types of fruit for an even more healthy meal.

Ingredients

Serves: 1

  • 1 cup plant-based milk (coconut milk, oat milk, etc)

  • 1/8 cup (25g ) gluten-free oats

  • 1/3 cup (75g) frozen berries

  • 1cm piece of fresh ginger

  • 1 celery stalk

  • 1 tsp agave or maple syrup

Instructions

Use the back of a metal spoon to remove the skin from the ginger before finely grating it.

Add the oats to a blender and blend/blitz until powdered, then add the celery and frozen berries and blend.

Add the remaining ingredients and blend once more until smooth.

Pour into a glass and garnish with a stick of celery if you're feeling fancy - enjoy!

Green Smoothie

Green leafy vegetables, especially dark green ones, are rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. They not only help fight off infections but also help regenerate the cells of the immune system.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of fresh spinach

  • 1 stick of kale

  • 1 medium sized stick of celery

  • Half cup of de-skinned and chopped cucumber

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  • 1 tsp crushed ginger

  • Pinch of rock salt

  • Pinch of pepper
